The Himachal Pradesh government will enhance the limit of budgetary provision for developmental activities from Rs 70 crore to Rs 80 crore for each Assembly segment to enable MLAs to have a greater say in the implementation of projects.
Chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal announced this while winding-up his discussions with MLAs on Friday. The government has proposed an annual plan of Rs 3,300 crore for 2011-12 Rs 300 cr more than the current year. During the meeting,that state demanded a grant of Rs.2500 crore from the Centre,besides Rs 1,500 crore for the annual plan of 2011-12. Dhumal said that 964 schemes worth Rs 1,595 crore had been sanctioned under NABARD in the last three years.
