Almost three weeks after the robbery in Sector 6,where four unidentified men decamped with cash and jewellery worth lakhs of rupees from a residential house of an elderly couple,police continue to grope in the dark.
Panchkula police had constituted a team headed by Assistant Commissioner of Police,(ACP) Kalka,Krishan Kumar; Inspector Crime Investigating Agency (CIA),Karambir Singh and Sector 5 Station House Officer,Ajay Rana to solve the case,but the team is yet to make any breakthrough in the case.
Our investigation in the case is continuing,but so far no major breakthrough in the case had come, said a police officer who is part of the investigating team. We had released a sketch and even questioned some employees of the businessman whose house was robbed,but it too did not help. After the robbery,Police had also picked up a Zirakpur resident,on the suspicion,but he was let to go after investigation. After a input we picked a Zirakpur resident,but he was not involved in the theft, the officer said.
Soon after the robbery,police teams were dispatched to Haryana and Punjab to get some clues about the case,but these teams returned without any breakthrough.
