She could’ve been Mrs Rahul Mahajan,but fate had other things in store for her. Nikunj Malik,who became famous when she professed her undying love for young Mr Mahajan on Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega,and later even made an appearance on Emotional Atyachar,will now be on Star One’s show,Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi. She will be playing Anvesha,the male lead Maan’s younger sister. Frankly,we think it’s better to be the sister of the groom on a fiction show,than to be the bride on a reality show,if you know what we mean.

RUPA Ganguly is one busy lady these days. Rupa,who plays the quiet Sumitra on Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo,is now trying to juggle her time between that and a new Bengali film that she has recently signed on. Finding it difficult to make enough time for both,she is now planning on a sabbatical from television so that she can pursue her film career with better dedication. “It is with a heavy heart that I am forced to take a break from the show for sometime. The cast too is like a second family to me. So,to divide my time between my Bengali film and this show gets very difficult as both roles are very creatively satisfying,” she says. Her absence from the story will be explained by sending the character on a char-dham yatra.
