Pawar asks states to follow HPs anti-hail gun initiative: Bragta

Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar has told all states to replicate Himachal Pradeshs initiative of setting up anti-hail guns to protect crop loss,state Horticulture Minister Narinder Bragta said on Monday. Bragta,who led a high-level delegation of Jammu and Kashmir,Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh,said Pawar assured the team that the Centre will provide all support to the states for it.

RK Bawa is Himachal Bar Council head

State Advocate General R K Bawa has been elected as the chairman of the Bar Council of Himachal Pradesh. Suneet Goel,also a practicing lawyer at the high court,was elected as vice-chairman of the council while I N Mehta was declared elected as member of Bar Council of India from the state bar council. He was was earlier vice-chairman of the council.

Ex-Babus violate lease term: Villagers

The residents of Sargheen village have alleged that retired chief secretaries and some IPS officers have violated terms of lease given to them for constructing houses at IAS Officers Colony at Panthaghati near Shimla. In a four-page complaint to Chief Justice Kurian Joseph,they have alleged the officers have transferred properties to other individuals.
