Freight rates up on tight position of trucks

Transporters said less availability of trucks into the markets,sparked by busy cargo movements.

Freight rates for 10 tonne pay load section improved by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following increased movements of cargo along with tight position of trucks.

New Delhi to Vijaywada,Goa,and Hyderabad rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 46,000,Rs 42,000 and Rs 44,000,respectively.

Rates to Chennai,Guwahati,and Bangalore rose by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 57,000,Rs 44,000 and Rs 59,000,respectively.
