The skyjackers had seized the twin-engined Boeing 737 when it left Cairo with 96 passengers and six crew on flight to the popular Egyptian tourist centres of Luxor and Aswan.
Asked whether there were many contentious issues, Mrs Gandhi said: “Naturally. It is such an urge group and some differences, especially on bilateral issues, are bound to exist.”
