Daughter of Punjabi film director Mukesh Gautam, she initially gained experience through television serials like Chand Ke Paar Chalo and Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam. Her Bollywood debut in the 2012 comedy-drama Vicky Donor garnered significant recognition, earning her the Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut.
