Shehbaz Sharif has served as the 23rd Prime Minister of Pakistan from April 2022 to August 2023. The five-year term of the incumbent National Assembly of Pakistan had commenced under the then-Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government led by Imran Khan on August 12, 2018. Born on September 23, 1951, in Lahore, Pakistan, Sharif received his education at the Forman Christian College in Lahore and the Government College University in Lahore.

In 1997, when Nawaz Sharif became Prime Minister for the second time, Shehbaz Sharif was appointed Chief Minister of Punjab. His tenure was marked by infrastructure development and economic growth. However, his government was also accused of corruption and mismanagement.
