Rape on ‘pretext of rituals’: 21-year-old man held from Rajasthan

Addressing media persons, Ahmedabad crime branch deputy commissioner of police Chaitanya Mandlik said, “A few days back, a complaint was registered in the (west) mahila police station that a childless woman was raped in the name of ritual to conceive a child. A man named Dilawar (Sheikh) identified different women and took them to a tantric named Mukesh Grasiya, who in the name of ritual raped several women.”

As per the case, a 44-year-old woman lodged a complaint with SP Hisar alleging that she was subjected to rape and unnatural offences by one Dr Ashok Kumar, petitioner in the case, in conspiracy with another doctor on August 31, 2022, at a hotel in Hisar.
