In Kapurthala village, a panchayat’s edict: ‘No lehenga during Sikh marriage; `5,000 fine if caught with drugs

The Bhadas village will levy a fine of Rs 5,000 if someone is caught with drugs or other narcotic substance; people found taking langar will have to pay Rs 10,000 and take up shoe cleaning for two months at the gurudwara.
