ABOUT Farida Jalal

Farida Jalal is an iconic actor in the entertainment industry active since the year 1963. Having acted in over 200 movies, she is certainly one of the most respectable and supreme actors in Bollywood. Known primarily for her work in the Hindi cinema, she has also acted in Telugu, Tamil, and English-language films. She is widely remembered for her roles in Paras, Henna, and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, all of which fetched her the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. She became a household name after portraying strong characters in the 1990s and the early 2000s. She has also won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Performance for her role in Mammo in 1994. She won the Best Actress Award at 2012 Harlem International Film Festival for her role in A Gran Plan. Moreover, she has also done popular roles on television in shows like Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi, Shararat, and Ammaji Ki Galli.
