17 students critical after consuming mid-day meal in Palghar

Palghar (Maharashtra), Feb 26 (ANI): Over 100 students fell ill after consuming mid-day meal at a government-run school in Palghar district of Maharashtra. An official of the district education department Prakash Mokashi said action will be taken against the guilty. Jyoti Jadav, a student of the same school, said her stomach started aching after consuming the meal. 17 of the Kasa village primary school students are still critical.The police have sent food samples for tests to a laboratory in Mumbai.

Five-member gang busted in Manipur, ammunition cache seized

Bishnupur (Manipur), Feb 22 (ANI): A team of Bishnupur District Police Commando and 7 AR succeeded in arresting five members of a gang and seized cache of arms at Phougakchao Ikhai Lai Mamang along the NH-150. Two MA-3 MII rifles, two magazines, one mobile phone and one diesel auto, bearing registration number MN 02A 8986, were seized from their possession on February 19. A case has been registered following the arrest and seizure of the arms.
