Shimla, Feb 15 (ANI): A street play was staged outside the Gaiety theatre in Shimla to spread awareness on women rights and urged people to support the cause. Artists also held a flash mob and sang songs calling for protection of rights for women. The awareness campaign was organised by the Young Working Women Christian Association under the banner of ‘One Billion Rising’, a global movement that aims to end violence against women. The artists believed the skit, drama, and dances were the right medium to make society aware of such serious issues.
