Ahmedabad/Bengaluru/Mumbai, Feb 18 (ANI): The Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad members in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Kolkata took to streets to protest against the 'anti-national' sentiments that have risen from Jawaharlal Nehru University. Members of ABVP from Ahmedabad raised slogans against those who supported the anti-national elements in JNU. An ABVP leader said they will continue their protests till the anti-nationalists are punished. In Bengaluru, the student took out a 'Tricolor march'. A protestor of ABVP in Bengaluru said they condemn the act of central universities rising to support the anti-national slogans raised in JNU. In Kolkata, ABVP members were seen raising slogans against the anti-national elements.

Man run over by truck, donates eyes before dying

Bengaluru, Feb 18 (ANI): A 23-year old man in Bengaluru whose body was split into two after being run over by a speeding truck wished to donate his organs while lying on the deathbed. Harish Nanjappa died due to injuries within minutes of being taken to a hospital. Harish's eyes were donated to the Narayana Netralaya and other organs could not be harvested as they were excessively damaged. According to the police, Harish said that he wished to donate his organs.

New Delhi, Feb 9 (ANI): Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor, in response to the attack on the Tanzanian student in Bengaluru on February 3, said that racism and intolerance are not specific to India but happens across the globe.The Tanzanian student was allegedly beaten up and stripped by a mob in a case of mistaken identity after a woman was mowed down by a car in Bengaluru.The 21-year-old Tanzanian was dragged out of the car in which she was seated along with her three friends.Sonam, who has not shied of speaking about current affair incidents in the past, did not hide behind a non-committal stance. Shah has been brought to Delhi on transit remand and would be produced at the Patiala House court today.
