ABOUT Aftab Shivdasani

Aftab Shivdasani: A Versatile Career Spanning Three Decades Aftab Shivdasani, born June 25, 1978, is a prominent Indian actor, producer, and model recognized for his contributions to Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada cinema. His career began remarkably early, landing him a Farex baby commercial at just 14 months. This launched him into the world of child acting, with notable appearances in films such as Mr. India (1987), Shahenshah (1988), and ChaalBaaz (1989). Shivdasani's adult debut in Ram Gopal Varma's Mast (1999) marked a significant turning point, earning him the Zee Cine Award for Best Male Debut and a Star Screen Award for Most Promising Newcomer - Male. He followed this with commercially successful ventures including Kasoor (2001), for which he received the Zee Cine Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role and a Filmfare Best Villain Award nomination; Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai (2002); Awara Paagal Deewana (2002); Hungama (2003); and Masti (2004). Expanding his horizons, Shivdasani entered the Tamil film industry with Bhaskar Oru Rascal (2018) and the Kannada film industry with the commercially successful Kotigobba 3 (2021). While recent film projects may not be as widely publicized, his significant contributions to the industry over three decades, transitioning smoothly from child artist to leading man and expanding his repertoire across multiple regional cinemas, stand as a testament to his enduring presence. His notable achievements include several awards and the portrayal of diverse roles, solidifying his place in Indian cinema.
