In a shocking move by the government, Smriti Zubin Irani has been shifted from the Human Resource Development Ministry to head the Ministry of Textiles after the Ccabinet expansion on July 5. We're not sure if it can really be called a demotion, as it's being popularly seen, given the 2017 UP state elections but the news sure has created a lot of buzz in Twitterverse. People clearly find it a dramatic move from "Text books to Textile" and as we're all aware of Smriti Irani's previous decisions - which included teaching Sanskrit in IITs for better understanding of science and technology - many are joking about what to now expect from the Textile Ministry. The on that has gone viral on Whatsapp says "Aaj fir beti ke hath se kitaab chheen kar silai machine thama di gai hai." Take a look at what Twitter is saying. UNESCO has declared Indian Textile Ministry as the best Ministry in this world. Congratulations. Proud of Smriti Irani.
