A man, who had allegedly abducted and murdered a girl a month ago, was arrested in Kotwali area in Etah, police said on Friday. On a specific input, Narendra, hailing from Musepur village, was arrested near a brick-kiln in Sarra village in Kotwali on Thursday, they said. He had abducted the victim and subsequently murdered her on September 11, police said, adding an FIR was lodged by the girl’s father against unidentified persons after the incident.

During interrogation, the accused confessed his crime, they added.
