Daniel Radcliffe to play British Olympic medalist
The film is being directed by James Watkins,who directed Radcliffe in horror movie 'Woman In Black'.
Former ‘Harry Potter’ star Daniel Radcliffe is all set to play Sebastian Coe,Olympic gold medalist distance runner.
Radcliffe will star as the athlete-turned-Olympic tsar in the film ‘Gold’,written by Oscar winning ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ scribe Simon Beaufoy and Will Davies,said the Hollywood Reporter.
The film is being directed by James Watkins,who directed Radcliffe in horror movie ‘Woman In Black’.
The story is about Coe’s world-famous rivalry with fellow athlete Steve Ovett in the years leading up to the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games.
‘Gold’ is based on the acclaimed book ‘The Perfect Distance’ by Pat Butcher,who also acts as a consultant on the project.
