Earlier today, Karan had made fans excited with a mini-announcement about the film’s release and wrote, “Mega film announcement coming up….watch this space!!!”

Earlier this year, Karan Johar and Salman Khan had announced that they will be co-producing a film with Akshay Kumar in the lead, which was also based on The Battle of Saragarhi. But after it was revealed that Salman’s close friend Ajay Devgn was also working on a similar project, rumours of Salman parting from the project made headlines. Now, there is no mention of Salman in the poster.

When earlier Akshay was asked about the reports, he had said, “The film is not shelved. It is happening. (And) that is not decided yet. It’s still going on.” Director Rajkumar Santoshi is also making a film with Randeep Hooda on the same plot and it is already in the pipeline.
