Apparently, Amitabh Bachchan is referred to as ‘baba’ not only by Deepika, but also by the other crew members. According to a report published in Hindustan Times, a source from the movie sets was quoted as saying, “Bachchan sir likes the way Deepika and the others address him as Baba.”

Now Big B is Big B and he has to reciprocate the gesture. He, thereby, has coined a nickname for the dimpled actress and that is, in cue with the movie’s name – Deepiku. Now, that’s really sweet!

“The way they address each other, on and off the sets, shows the comfortable relationship they share,” says Juhi Chaturvedi, the writer of ‘Piku’, which has been extensively shot in Kolkata and will see Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone play Bengali characters.
