Sudhish Pachauri set to be new DU Vice-Chancellor

The university’s media co-ordinator Malay Neerav confirmed the news saying, "The pro V-C Sudhish Pachauri will take over as the officiating V-C from October 29”.

Delhi university’s Pro Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sudhish Pachauri will take over as its officiating V-C from October 29, after the varsity’s Vice Chancellor Dinesh Singh demits office.

The university’s media co-ordinator Malay Neerav confirmed the news saying, “The Vice-Chancellor Dinesh Singh is set to finish his term. The pro V-C Sudhish Pachauri will take over as the officiating V-C from October 29”.

Pachauri received his Master of Arts degree in Hindi from Agra University in 1968, and his doctorate from the University of Delhi 10 years later. He had served in the past as a lecturer and reader at Zakir Husain Post Graduate (Evening) College from 1970 to 2004. Pachauri became the university’s acting pro-V-C in 2013 after the then pro V-C tendered his resignation.

Pachauri currently holds the position of professor in DU’s Department of Hindi, with a teaching specialisation in the fields of literary theory, post-modernism, post-structuralism, media studies and cultural studies, at both PG and UG levels.
