IPL 2025 Stats

The Indian Premier League is the biggest franchise-based cricket league in the world, which has been running since 2008. This means the 2025 season of the Indian Premier League will be the 18th edition of the IPL.

IPL 2025 starts off on March 22 (Saturday) with a clash between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Eden Gardens. The IPL 2025 final will be held on May 25.

In IPL 2025, 10 teams will be in the fray. Two teams — Mumbai Indians and the Chennai Super Kings — have won the title five times each. MI’s last title came in 2020, CSK won its final title in the 2023 edition. Chennai also won the 2010, 2011, 2018 and 2021 titles while Mumbai were victors in 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019 besides 2020.

Kolkata Knight Riders have won the title thrice so far, including last season, while Gujarat Titans have won the title once in their two seasons. Rajasthan Royals and SunRisers Hyderabad have also won the title one time each.
