President A P J Abdul Kalam became India’s first Supreme Commander to fly a fighter aircraft when he undertook a 40-minute sortie in a Su-30 MKI from the Lohegaon Airbase here today.
On Thursday, when President A P J Abdul Kalam takes to the skies from the Indian Air Force base at Lohegaon in the cockpit of a SU 30 MKI, he will be fulfilling his childhood dream of flying a fighter aircraft.
