
Xiaomi Mi 5 is all set to launch on February 24, 2016, the company VP Hugo Barra wrote in a Facebook post in January. Mi 5 is one of the most awaited smartphones by the Chinese start-up. The company VP and the co-founder Lin Bin recently shared camera samples from Mi 5 on their Facebook and Weibo accounts respectively. Read more here

The first picture that Lin Bin posted on Weibo is that of a beach with various elements around in a finer detail. Xiaomi's 2016 flagship is expected to sport a16 megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilisation and a 13 megapixel front camera. Read more here

Bin posted the second picture of a close-up of a bird on the same beach indicating that the Mi 5 will come with a better autofocus and shutter speed. The leaked details of Xiaomi Mi 5 suggest that the smartphone is expected to feature a 5.2-inch display. The display resolution is however something that has not been revealed yet. Read more here

Also, pictures of Xiaomi Mi 5 were spotted online in a video leak on Weibo not long ago. According to the leaks, the smartphone is expected to launch in Gold, Black, White and Pink colour variants. It will have a 2.5G curved glass display and a 3D glass panel on the back. Read more here

This picture was posted by Xiaomi’s VP Hugo Barra on his Facebook account. It has been shot with Mi 5 and reveals the quality of the smartpone's camera. Barra's post reads, "I didn't even have to fiddle with manual settings or adjust anything—except turn on HDR—this is a pure SOOC shot. The Xiaomi Mi 5 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset. It is likely to launch in two variants – 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage.
