The outlawed United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA),lying low for quite some time, has called a 12-hour bandh in Assam to protest against the recent death of two of its cadres at the hands of the security forces. A statement issued to newspaper offices here on Monday by the outfits chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa said two ULFA cadres,Debajit Chetia and Durlabh Bora, were killed on June 21 after they were picked up by the Army on June 10. Rajkhowa claimed that the Governments claim regarding death of several members of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland in encounters with security forces was also incorrect.
