Prime Minister Narendra Modi Wednesday said the Congress doesn’t have the right to stay in power even for a moment in Rajasthan and that the public should punish the party by pressing the lotus symbol of the BJP in the November 25 Assembly elections.
“The Congress, which has cheated the poor, doesn’t have the right to stay in the government even for a moment,” said Modi, addressing a rally in Rajasthan’s Barmer.
In the last 10 years, in all the schemes that have been formulated by the central government, maximum priority has been given to the security of women and women empowerment. Mothers and sisters, your brother is saying this on ‘bhai dooj, my mission is to free sisters from problems,” said Modi.
He said arrangements have been made by the Centre to provide water through pipes to around 50 lakh houses in Rajasthan.
“But I feel the pain that the Congress government has looted this scheme too. I send the money for the Jal Jeevan Mission from Delhi but these Congress people, because of habit, get commission even in that,” said Modi.
Modi added that he has been told that in many villages of Barmer and Jaisalmer, no work was done but the payment was made.
The Congress is getting zero in MP and Chhattisgarh, now it is the time of Rajasthan, said Modi.
“Saaf karne ka maza toh tab aata hai jab polling booth mein saaf karein (The fun of cleaning is when it is done in polling booths. We have to learn from our mothers and sisters how cleaning is done,” said Modi, urging the public to punish Congress.
PM Modi also targeted the Congress over atrocities against women in Rajasthan.
“The Congress has brought Rajasthan to the absolute front when it comes to cases of atrocities against women. It is difficult for our sisters and daughters to venture out of their homes. Allegations are made against relatives of Congress MLAs. Congress MLAs openly make statements against women. When the chief minister terms atrocities against women as false, then the morale of the perpetrators gets boosted. When a Congress minister in the Rajasthan Assembly takes the side of atrocities against women by saying ‘it is a mardon ka Pradesh’ (state of men), then the morale of criminals gets boosted,” said Modi.
“In the last five years, you have not been able to peacefully celebrate the teej festival in Rajasthan. Sometimes there is a riot, sometimes stone pelting, curfew, this has been the picture of the Congress in the last five years,” said Modi.
Modi said that wherever Congress comes into power, the morale of terrorists and rioters is boosted because of its “policy of appeasement”.
“For the protection of the culture of Rajasthan, the BJP is necessary,” said Modi.
PM Modi added that the ‘lawlessness’ in Rajasthan is owing to the fact that the chief minister of Rajasthan only tried to save his own chair throughout his entire term.
He also targeted the ruling Congress over question paper leaks. “Paper leak mafia are connected with the top Congress leaders,” said Modi.
“Till now there was talk of a red diary having details of corruption and now its pages are being opened” Modi said. He also targeted the Congress over money and jewellery being found in lockers.
“Kamal ke Nishan par aise button dawao jaise unko saza pakki ho jae. Jaise unko phansi de rahe ho na, aise kamal ke Nishan pe button dawao (press the button on the lotus symbol in such a way as if their punishment is confirmed. As if they are being hanged, press the button on the lotus symbol),” said PM Modi.
