Nearly 18,000 candidates are running for 336 seats in the National Assembly and 749 seats in Provincial Assemblies. The seats will be filled using two methods: first-past-the-post for single-member constituencies and proportional representation for reserved seats for women and non-Muslims. These elections are crucial for Pakistan, as the country deals with major economic, security, and environmental issues that its leaders will need to tackle.
