India Stock Market Holidays 2025: The Indian stock markets will be closed on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, for the entire trading session, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, in observance of Mahashivratri, an auspicious and widely celebrated Hindu festival dedicated to Lord Shiva.

During this holiday, trading in the Currency Derivatives Segment will also be suspended in recognition of Mahashivratri 2025.

Trading will resume on Thursday after the midweek break, according to the holiday schedule released by the NSE and BSE.

Additionally, the commodity market will remain closed during the morning session but will reopen for trading at 5:00 PM and will close at 11:30 PM.

This means there will be no trading activity in the equity, equity derivative, and Securities Lending and Borrowing (SLB) segments on February 26.

Furthermore, both public and private banks across 22 Indian cities will also observe closure today, as mentioned in the RBI Holiday Calendar for 2025.
