The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) determines bank holidays, Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) holidays, and account closure limitations for both public and commercial banks in India.

It is important to note that, while branches will be closed, all online and digital banking services, including cash transfers and mobile banking applications, will continue to operate as usual, allowing clients to manage their accounts uninterrupted over the holidays.

In addition to this, banks across India will observe mandatory nationwide closures on the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays, i.e. on February 2 (Sunday) February 8 (Second Saturday), February 9 (Sunday), February 16 (Sunday), February 22 (Fourth Saturday), and February 23 (Sunday).
