Fidias Panayiotou, a YouTuber from Cyprus who gained fame for hugging Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk after chasing him for months, recently posted his video that showed travelling for free on the Bengaluru Metro and it didn’t go down well with netizens.

Fidias pulled off the stunt of free metro travel. “I will teach you how to get the metro in India for free,” he says at the beginning of the video and asks a couple of commuters if he would be able to do it.

As the commuters replied in the negative, Fidias said he would try to prove them wrong. He is seen walking confidently towards the station and at the entry gate, he is seen walking over the ticket counter, where one is supposed to present their metro card or tickets to enter the platform.

The same commuters tell him that exiting the station would be harder. Fidias then shows the metro trains in India and says it is packed. He is seen doing pull-ups by holding the coach railings. As his destination arrives, he gets out of the train. And just as he came in, he casually jumped over the ticket counter as a woman behind him looked confused. “How To Sneak Into The Indian Metro,” he captioned the video.

Posted two days ago, the clip has amassed a million views but failed to impress the majority of netizens.

“The same thing done by an Indian in a foreign country, he would probably get shot lol,” a user commented. “Don’t come to India again until you want to follow our rules,” said another. “GOOD JOB! STEALING from the HARD WORKING people of India!” wrote a third. “Ok now just imagine the hate of this was an Indian in a western country,” opined another person.
