If you are a regular social media user, then Twitter handle named Xavier Uncle needs no introduction. From savage responses to happenings in the world to hilarious tweets, Xavier Uncle’s posts have become meme material several times. The popular Twitter account has garnered more than 100,000 followers and now in a long Twitter thread, the user reminisced about the bygone days. This time also, his tweets have gone viral.
“Can we skip to the good part? No, because sometimes waiting can lead to the best part,” read his cheeky tweet. The user said he created the account in 2010s to tweet “some stupid relatable stuffs, having friendly light-hearted banters with the people and most importantly my USP (comments)”. As tweeting gave him satisfaction, he continued it till 2018 and deactivated the account for two years to focus on his career.
But the Covid-19 pandemic changed eveything. “Phir ek din 2020 mai apni gali mai aayi corona. Chaaaaapak! (Later one day Covid hit our street in 2020),” Xavier Uncle tweeted.
Apparently, he spent the days when Covid restrictions were stringent by making memes, being active on Twitter, messaging, getting appreciation and criticism, creating trends and so on.
“kaafi memes banaye, kaafi simping bhi kari, kaafi e-lafde kiye, kaafi messages bhi aaye, kaafi appreciations mile, kaafi zyada gaaliya bhi khaayi, bahut space bhi kiye, bahut trends bhi banaye (Made several memes, did simping too…received many messages, appreciations, expletives, created large space, made several trends also),” he wrote. Further he wrote, “kaafi cheezein karte karte kaafi bura samay nikal gya, aur kaafi kuch seekhne ko mila (A lot of time was spent in doing several such things, also got to learn many things).”
Letting his identity remain a mystery and adding that he is about to practise law in a renowned law firm in India from July, he wrote, “Fast forward to 2023: I have been featured on all major meme pages, followed back by many celebrities (not sonam bajwa yet ), got some batshit crazy online friends, about to practice law in reknowned law firm of India from July onwards. Identity reveal will remain a question!”
He did not skip sharing meme on the long Twitter thread. At the end, he posted rapper Snoop Dogg’s “I wanna thank me” speech.
The Twitter thread racked up several responses. A user commented, “Congratulations Xavier and it feels good to know that there is a real human behind this account , all the best for your Law career.” Another user wrote, “You are the reason for my smile.” A third user wrote, “Don’t reveal your identity. It will most certainly spoil the fun.”
