Congress had decided to launch a nationwide campaign to create awareness among people in villages and cities through trained party spokespersons.
The Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) has invited applications from eligible, experienced and politically aware youth across the state for selection as party spokespersons, media panellists, research coordinators and publicity coordinators under the National Talent Hunt Programme launched by the All India Congress Committee (AICC). The programme was formally launched by HPCC president Vinay Kumar at the party headquarters, Rajiv Bhawan, Shimla, on Tuesday. He said that the last date for applications is January 5, scrutiny will be held on January 9, regional interviews from January 12 to 15, and state-level interviews and group discussions on January 21.
Chitra Batham, national coordinator of the programme and AICC in-charge for Himachal Pradesh, alleged that the BJP-led central government was misusing power to suppress democracy and undermining the core principles of the Constitution. She said the Congress had decided to launch a nationwide campaign to create awareness among people in villages and cities through trained party spokespersons.
State coordinator of the programme, State Planning Commission Chairman and MLA Bhavani Singh Pathania, said educated and experienced candidates would be selected through a structured interview process.
