Bengaluru, also known as the “Silicon Valley of India,” has attracted thousands of techies to the city. Once popular as the IT hub of India, it is now causing a stir due to notorious traffic snarls. With numerous residents voicing concerns about the poor management of roads and traffic congestion in the city, Peak XV Partners’ Managing Director Rajan Anandan has chimed in on the issue.

In an X post, Anandan expressed his frustration over tolerating more than two hours of traffic jam to reach the Bengaluru Airport. “2.5 hours to get to the Bangalore airport from the city. Flight time from Bangalore to Delhi is 2.5 hours.”

The post quickly gained traction, sparking a fresh discussion over the chock-a-block situation in Bengaluru. “Depends on what time you are travelling. I usually take the morning 4 am flight, land by 6 am and from there it takes only 1 hour to reach the city,” a user wrote. “Daily cribbing by one and all won’t help, someone has to get their hands dirty in attempting to solve this issue, can we all come together and do this?” another user commented.

“That’s one kindness of fate some of us have here in Mumbai. T1/T2 takes an hour in traffic, 20 minutes at 4- 5 am in the morning. Can’t imagine the hell we would have faced if the only airport here was the one in Navi Mumbai!!” a third user reacted.

Recently, Zepto founder Aadit Palicha shared his stance on Bengaluru’s traffic, calling it the “most painful thing.” Speaking at a podcast, Palicha said, “The biggest problem that I have in my life is the commute whenever I need to take a flight from where I stay in Bangalore to the airport. That’s like the most painful thing that I have to do one or two times a month.”
