Actor-director Satish Kaushik died of a heart attack at the age of 66 in Delhi on Wednesday. Veteran actor and director Satish Kaushik died Wednesday after suffering a heart attack and tributes have poured in from all corners, including Bihar’s viral singing sensation Amarjeet Jaikar and renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik.
Jaikar from Bihar’s Samastipur, who became an overnight singing sensation for his rendition of ‘Dil De Diya Hai’, paid his tribute by singing a song for Kaushik, while Pattnaik paid homage to the Bollywood veteran through his art.
Jaikar, who recently recorded a song for Sonu Sood’s upcoming film Fateh, sang the famous ghazal ‘Chithi Na Koi Sandesh’ by Jagjit Singh in his melodious voice. Posted on March 9, the video has received more than 1.17 lakh views.

Pattnaik, a Padma Shri awardee, created a sand sculpture of Kaushik at Puri beach in Odisha and wrote in the sand, “Tribute to Satish Kaushik.” “Deeply saddened by the sudden demise of actor, director and writer #SatishKaushik Ji. My deepest condolences to his bereaved family and followers. Om Shanti. My SandArt at Puri beach,” he wrote on Twitter.

“A fitting tribute to a gem of a person and a versatile artist,” commented a user on Pattnaik’s tweet. “What a beautiful tribute!” said another. “Beautiful tribute to the jolly face, Satish sir. May your soul rest in peace,” appreciated a third.
The news of Satish Kaushik’s death left the Hindi film industry in shock with many condoling his shocking demise. Kaushik was in Delhi when he suffered a heart attack. His body was brought to Mumbai on Thursday and the last rites were held at Versova crematorium.
