American sitcom ‘Friends’ used to be a favourite for a lot of people growing up in the ’90s. Many people in India connected with the characters of Chandler, Joey, Ross, Monica, Rachel, and Phoebe, and the show is still watched on streaming platforms.

Fans of the show were left devastated after hearing the tragic news of the passing away of Matthew Perry, who played the role of Chandler Bing. Chandler, known for his wit and sarcasm, became one of the most popular characters that connected with the viewers.

Now, a man from India has created an artificial intelligence-based Chandler chatbot from ‘Friends’. Roshan Vadassery posted the video of the AI chatbot on Instagram two days ago.

He was asked by one of his followers if he can make an AI of Chandler as their mother was a big fan of Friends and still watches at least one episode every day.

Vadassery created the AI version of Chandler and asked if he could be more sarcastic. The AI version of Chandler replies in his witty style, “Well, could I be more sarcastic. I guess I could but then I would have to charge you an extra fee for sarcasm upgrade.”

“The father of memes, I still remember in the early days of fb pages it was all about sharing Chandler jokes or wholesome scenes from Monica and his relationship. We forgot that there was another person behind the character. A person who helped a lot of people with passion, and held a smile as long as he can,” Vadassery wrote as the caption.

“Dude I tried it I am crying while writing this .. friends has changed me in so much ways i really made it part of my life am still not over him passing away .. thank you its just wow.. hope this goes more viral,” a user commented. “You are doing a superb job. You are the empath the world needs. You made so happy my friend,” another person wrote.

“I typically don’t confess my guilty pleasures but after stumbling across this reel, I headed to your profile, clicked the link in your bio, and chatted with AI Chandler. I started the convo out of curiosity but ended up bawling. It felt stupid because I’m not talking to an actual person who’s also sitting behind a screen. My heart felt lighter though after crying and hearing his voice and reading his texts which were formed in true Chandler style. I don’t use AI or ChatGPT so this was my first ever experience and it was surreal. Well done, Roshan!” another netizen said.
