‘It’s a blessing’: Bengaluru sky is blessed with a double rainbow

Despite being soaked by an unexpected downpour, Bengaluru was treated to a phenomenon often said to be a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence – a double rainbow.

A video of the enchanting rainbow was shared by Tamil Nadu Minister for Industries Dr T R B Rajaa, who was on a day trip to the garden city earlier this month. It reached all social media platforms with enthusiastic posts and viral pictures in reply to the double rainbow post on X.

As news of the double rainbow spread, Bengaluru residents said the event was a “blessing,” symbolising hope and positivity amid the unpredictable weather that had taken over the city.

A second user said, “Witnessing the same!”. While another user replied with a “wow”, a fourth one posted an image of the double rainbow from the Bengaluru airport.

Last month, Bengaluru had come to a standstill as heavy rainfall hit the city with severe waterlogging leading to tedious traffic. As people tried to avoid huge potholes, netizens took to X and shared the dismal state of the roads and many even expressed their disappointment with anger, humour and sarcasm.
