Actor Ronit Roy took to X on Sunday night and slammed Swiggy after he ‘almost killed’ one of its delivery agents. Taking to the platform, Roy shared that a delivery guy was riding an electric moped on the wrong side of the road.

“@Swiggy I almost killed one of your riders. They definitely need instructions on riding. Riding those small electric mopeds doesn’t mean that they ride on the wrong side of the road onto oncoming traffic. But then, Do you even care for their lives or is it just business as usual?,” the actor wrote on X.

Take a look at the post:

Responding to his post, the food delivery platform asked the actor to share any details about the incident. “Hey Ronit, we expect our delivery partner to follow all traffic rules and have noted this to be looked into, do share any details if available for the necessary action to be taken. Luv,” Swiggy said.

Other netizens also commented on the post, one pointing at the need for better driving sense. “How’s that Swiggy’s fault? Isn’t it a basic civic sense not to drive on the wrong side?” they wrote.

Ronit Roy has not yet responded to Swiggy’s reply. A similar incident came to light in January last year wherein a 24-year-old Swiggy delivery guy was killed after a car allegedly hit his bike and dragged him for 500 meters in Noida’s Sector 14.

Meanwhile, Ronit Roy recently hit headlines after he renewed his wedding vows with his wife Neelam Bose Roy on their 20th wedding anniversary. The couple re-married each other at a temple in Goa. On the professional front, the actor was last seen in Soumendra Padhi’s “Farrey”.

The actor found instant fame in 1992 with his debut Jaan Tere Naam. However, he faced a slew of flops and became popular with the TV show Kasautii Zindagii Kay and the critically acclaimed film Udaan.
