According to data sourced from Redseer Consulting, a Bengaluru-based consultancy firm, daily average order volumes on platforms such as Zomato, Swiggy, Foodpanda and UberEats, Faasos, Curefit, etc has surged 20 per cent during the ongoing IPL season, compared with the pre-tournament duration.
Jenifar J. Russel, a 38-year-old, reveals that his job as a food delivery executive has helped him connect with the city better. "Earlier I used to switch on the AC in my car and go to work. Now I'm aware of the pollution levels, potholes on road, traffic problems, parking issues, and foul smell arising from garbage dumping areas. Travelling on a two-wheeler gives me the real feel of the city," he says.
According to information sourced from business intelligence firm paper.vc and Ministry of Corporate Affairs, the board of Swiggy has amended its internal byelaws to prevent onboarding investors with stake in Uber or any of its entities.

“The hearing in these cases will commence soon. These outlets were found working without licence and the food portals were delivering their food to consumers without ensuring that the outlets had licence to cook,” said Shailesh Aadhav, joint commissioner (food), Mumbai.
