Bengaluru is famous as an IT hub and a city of startups. However, many people have shared how difficult it is to find a decent place to stay in the city as landlords have unreasonable expectations or the rent is too high.

People who are looking for a house for rent have to toil hard to find accommodation that is close to their office or college. A photo of two men holding a placard during an IPL game at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is going viral. While mostly fans hold banners in support of their favourite cricketers, they had an unusual request that people in Bengaluru could relate to.

Their placard read, “Looking for 2 BHK in Indiranagar,” a neighbourhood located in east Bengaluru. “Could’ve asked Kolhi to marry us, but right now, priorities,” says the caption of the photo tweeted by a man named Atin Bose, who works as a product designer.

Posted April 16, the tweet has received more than 4,200 likes.

“I really really from the bottom of my heart hope you find a place through this,” commented a user. “Peak Bangalore moment,” said another.

“Only way to get one in Bangalore,” wrote a third. “Hope you guys find a place real soon . Best of luck,” posted another. “Take rent in West Bangalore, just 30 minutes to Whitefield by Metro . Surprisingly rent is only 12000 to 20000 depending on location. No water problem, nice location,” another netizen suggested.
