The clip shows a tiger camouflaged by forest cover. Tigers are stealth hunters and ambush predators that rely on camouflage to launch a surprise attack on their prey. A video showing how a tiger can brilliantly camouflage itself in the forest was shared on Twitter recently.
Sanjay Kumar, who is an IAS officer and nature lover according to his Twitter bio, shared the video that was captured in the Pilibhit tiger reserve in Uttar Pradesh. The 22-second video shows a tiger camouflaged behind a thick green cover. When the clip begins, it is difficult to spot the tiger.
However, as the camera zooms in, the tiger is barely visible as it conceals itself in the bushes. Kumar shared in the tweet that rhesus macaques at the tree top were able to spot the tiger and sounded an alarm, which is heard in the video.
“Tiger is a stealth hunter and can hide camouflaged in undergrowth of forest floor easily. But rhesus macaques at tree top can spot them & alert all denizens. Here, the presence of a male Tiger in Pilibhit TR is busted by an alarm call,” he wrote.

In April, Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Susanta Nanda had shared a video on Twitter showing a jeep safari getting dangerously close to a tiger. The video was reportedly from the Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand.
The clip shows the vehicle parked close to the tiger that is growling at the jeep. The driver is yelling to shoo the tiger away as it charges toward the vehicle. A woman in the background is heard panicking and telling the driver to reverse the vehicle. As the vehicle reverses, the tiger retreats back into the forest.
