On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the netizens are sharing what they think are the best on-screen brother-sister roles from Bollywood. The discussion was prompted when @mimansashekhar, an X user wrote, “The annual #RakshaBandhan tweet is here! Who’s your favourite onscreen sibling(s)?”

The answers ranged from Dev Anand and Zeenat Aman’s characters from the 1971 film Hare Rama Hare Krishna (that gave people the iconic sibling love song ‘Phoolon Ka Taron Ka’ by Kishore Kumar) to Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra’s pairing in 2015 hit Dil Dhadakne Do.

Some other answers included the pair of Juhi Chawla and Sanjay Suri from director Onir’s 2005 film My Brother…Nikhil, which focussed on AIDS awareness in India.

Commenting on @mimansashekhar’s prompt, an X user wrote, “One of my most favorite movies and this bond. Arbaaz Khan and Kajol in Pyar Kiya to darna kya”. Another person wrote, “Preity Zinta and her brothers in Kya Khena.”

An X user shared stills from Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Josh, Agneepath, and Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na and listed the brother-sister pairing from these blockbuster movies. The user wrote, “1) Isri Kaur and Milkha Singh 2) Shirley and Max Dias 3) Shiksha and Vijay Chauhan 4) Aditi and Amit Mahant”.

Another X user shared a still from 2005 film Iqbal that featured Shreyas Talpade and Shweta Prasad as brother and sister and wrote, “A brother-sister bond that will always remain special. Remembering #Iqbal this #Rakshabandhan.Thank you @nkukunoor”.
