South Indian cuisine dosa has become a staple in households across the globe with its crispy texture and varieties. As many as 75 chefs in Bengaluru took their love for dosas to another level by creating the Guinness World Record for the world’s longest dosa on March 15.
In collaboration with Chef Regi Mathew and his team, MTR Foods celebrated its centenary with the “monumental” achievement.
According to reports, the world’s longest dosa-making process involved food experts and culinary school staff—who were successful after 110 failed attempts. Sharing the video of the making of the 123.03 feet dosa on Instagram, Chef Mathew wrote, “I’m thrilled to announce a historic milestone at MTR! Proudly celebrating the 100th year anniversary with a Guinness World Records title for the longest dosa, measuring an incredible 123.03 feet!”
“This monumental achievement took place at MTR Factory in Bengaluru on March 15th, 2024. Thank you to @lormangroupofcompany, the students of M S Ramaiah College of Hotel Management and everyone who contributed to this momentous occasion! Here’s to a century of tradition, flavor, and breaking records!” he added.

The video garnered more than 23K views on the platform, along with social media users reacting to it. Congratulating the Chef, a user wrote, “Wow congratulations Chef Regi and team, another feature in your cap. Keep going. God Bless!” Another user commented, “Our Long table 150ft vs long dosa it may fit.”

Earlier, a team of chefs in Ahmedabad set the Guinness World Record for making 53-foot-long dosa in 15 minutes.
