With sustainability being a big deal, a video of a unique mailbox kept outside a house in the United States’ Queens has caught the fancy of netizens. Check out the viral video shared by @upworthy on Instagram where an elderly woman has gone all out and turned her microwave into her mailbox.

It has garnered 3.9 million views and tons of comments.It was originally shared on TikTok by @imarisampson.realtor.

The video says, “POV: You’ve arrived in Queens and see your Grandma’s mailbox.” It shows grandma’s quirky setup—- a microwave on the porch labelled “Mail Box” with “press to open” on the door.

Social media users flooded the comments section, loving the humour and creativity. One user commented, “Mailcrowave,” A second user, visibly surprised wrote, “Definition of “reduce, REUSE, recycle?” Meanwhile a third user commented, “As a mailman, this would’ve absolutely made my day.”
