As anticipation mounts for Taylor Swift's highly anticipated performances in Edinburgh this weekend at Murrayfield Stadium, the Scottish capital went above and beyond in extending its warm welcome to the global superstar. In a nod to Swift's Scottish roots, residents orchestrated a grand display of traditional Scottish music to greet the chart-topping singer. A post shared by @scotishdailyrecord and @edinburghlive showed the video of The Reel Time Pipe Band, which has eight Highland bagpipers and three drummers, taking center stage at the stadium to pay homage to Swift's arrival. The band spent 32 hours rehearsing, to flawlessly execute a rendition of one of Swift's most beloved hits, Love story, which first captured hearts in 2008. In the video, the band donned sequined kilts, perfectly complementing the extravagant attire that Swift's legion of fans, affectionately known as 'Swifties', are expected to flaunt during her concerts. "Lots of Taylor’s tunes translate surprisingly well to traditional Scottish instruments," said Pipe Major Roddy Deans, the charismatic frontman of the band. "We’re all huge music fans, so we were delighted to help welcome Taylor to Scotland in the best way we know. It’s been a lot of fun recreating Love Story on the bagpipes and putting this ensemble together," he said.
