‘The ring is ginormous’: TV reporter’s live reaction to Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce’s engagement goes viral

Turning to someone off-camera, she added, “Come back to me. She just posted it! Oh my god. Oh my god.” Rinaldi couldn’t stop gushing about Swift’s engagement ring, which was revealed in the photos Swift shared on social media. “Oh, it’s huge! The ring is ginormous!” she said.

“This is so exciting! Oh my god! Oh my god!” Rinaldi said.

Laughing, she also said, “I feel like Paul Revere right now,” referring to the fact that she was among the first to share the big news with others.

Reporting the news, Rinaldi said, “This is a very exciting moment for me in my professional career, because I get to announce that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged.” She credited her producer for tipping her off via text just before her segment began. “So very exciting here that we get to break that and tell you about that,” Rinaldi added.

Swift announced her engagement with a heartfelt Instagram post featuring a series of romantic photos with Kelce. The caption read, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” According to Newsweek, the ring features an old mine brilliant-cut diamond designed by Kindred Lubeck, a New York-based jeweller.
