A young Paramore fan’s dream of singing on stage with her favourite band came true after the band’s lead singer Hayley Williams called her on stage. Riley, 9, was attending the band’s concert in Houston, USA, on July 11, when Williams spotted her poster that said “Pick me”.

As Williams called Riley on stage, the crowd at the Toyota Center arena cheered. Both Riley and Williams sang to Paramore’s 2007 hit’ Misery Business’. After the song ended, Williams hugged Riley and praised her performance.

Interestingly, ‘Misery Business’ was released seven years before Riley was born, but the young fan still knew the lyrics of the rock superhit by heart.

On July 12, X user @tinyhotopicbish shared clips of this sweet interaction between Paramore and Riley online, these clips soon gathered hundreds of likes.

Commenting on these videos, a user wrote, “This was so cool to see in person, that little girl killed it! Had the whole place chanting her name after”.

Another fan recalled, “this girlie and her mom were in our row and i remember complimenting them for matching and being so cute, i was like “i hope you get picked” and loook SHE GOT PICKED hayley said it herself: best miz biz pick ever!!!! so cute”.

Paramore ritually picks fans from the crowd to sing ‘Misery Business’ (also known as ‘MizBiz’) on stage. During their New York concert on July 1, the band picked popular rapper Lil Uzi Vert for the ‘Misery Business’ performance.
