Rainn Wilson, who played ‘Dwight Schrute’ in the popular NBC sitcom The Office, shared a hilarious Instagram story that showed the person sitting next to him on a flight watching The Office. In the video, Wilson is wearing a mask which is probably why he was not recognised.

This clip is now being widely circulated across social media platforms. On Tuesday, a popular Twitter user named QENNY BLONDED (@AKBrews) reshared this video on Twitter, where it quickly gathered over 1.3 million views.

Commenting on it, a Twitter user wrote: “Mask, hat, big headphones, no makeup, and no where near the same hair style. You’d have to be really, and I mean really keen to notice it’s the same person.”

Another person remarked, “I’m terrible with faces. Lived in NYC for yrs, amazed how many celebs my husband ID’d on street. Saw young couple excitedly fussing over older, gray bearded man in eyeglasses I assumed was father/FIL. My husband (and the couple) recognized Tom Hanks. I never would’ve known him.”

In November last year, Wilson made news after he changed his Instagram name to bring attention to the climate crisis. The 57-year-old actor changed his name on Instagram to ‘RAINNFALL HEAT WAVE EXTREME WINTER WILSON’. It came as a protest amid the then-ongoing climate conference, the 27th Session of the Conference of Parties (COP27).
