A man leapt into one of the iconic pools at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum in Lower Manhattan, New York, leaving onlookers in disbelief.

The unsettling incident was captured on video and shared by @tmz_tv.

The video footage, widely shared on social media, shows the man walking to the pool with a 30-foot drop before taking the daring plunge. It remains unclear what prompted his actions or if he had any specific motive.

The National September 11 Memorial & Museum, a solemn site commemorating the September 11, 2001, attacks was disrupted when the unidentified man jumped into the reflective waters surrounding the twin reflecting pools that stand where the Twin Towers once stood.

One wrote, “I only see the sadness in his face honestly. who knows what he went through that morning”.
