Firefighters in Reno, Nevada in the US had an unusual day at work on Wednesday as they had to rescue a giant bear stuck in a tree. The firefighters assisted wildlife department officials to help the animal. In a quirky Facebook post, Reno firefighters Association wrote, “It’s a bird! It’s a plane! Nope, it’s a bear stuck in the tree. Reno Firefighters assigned to T3 & E12 assisted @nevadawildlife in the rescue/removal of a bear stuck in a tree in the south meadows area today.” A video shared by ABC News on Instagram shows the bear remaining stuck on top of the tree. The animal falls down from the tree branch, flips and the officials capture it on a stretched material. A user commented, “Poor guy he was probably so scared.” Another user wrote, “He climbed up there, he’ll climb down.” A third user wrote, “Oh my. Something spooked him. Glad they got him down safely. Hope they find a safe place for him and he stays there.” 2news report said that after a quick examination, the 150-pound female was tagged, collared and transported in a truck and will be sent to the wild. Mynews4 reported that the Nevada Department of Wildlife alerted the public to bear-proof their homes as it is the season when bears begin to roam around searching for food in trash cans.
