What caught the Internet’s attention was he named his baby girl “Hind,” in tribute to the Crown Prince’s mother, Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum. As reported by Gulf News, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum shared the news and the name of his daughter, on Instagram.
“O Allah, grant her a heart filled with Your love and a tongue that remembers You, and increase her in Your light and guidance, and clothe her in the garments of health and well-being,” he wrote in the post.
Sheikh Hamdan has been serving as the Crown Prince of Dubai since 2008 and also holds the positions of deputy prime minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE. Born to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, the Prince is fondly known as Fazza. In 2019, he married his cousin, Sheikha Sheikha bint Saeed bin Thani Al Maktoum, in a joint wedding ceremony that also included his brothers, Sheikh Maktoum and Sheikh Ahmad.

In addition to their newborn daughter, Hind, the couple has two sons and a daughter. Their twins, Sheikha and Rashid, were born in May 2021, and in February 2023, they welcomed a son named Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum.
